Freki, the most devoted son of Voljaryk, was a living embodiment of his father's tumultuous emotions and impulsive nature. Even as he grew older, Freki continued to strive for his father's approval, seeking recognition from the man he held in the highest esteem. It was only in his final moments that Freki received the recognition he had long sought, and came to understand the true nature of their relationship.
The Skjöldungar was a legendary Old Norse saga that focused on the Danish Dynasty of Scylding (Skjöldungar). Although most of it was lost in history, it contained tales of a mighty lineage that carried a gift from the gods.
